from a very traditional family, we learnt cooking good food from our Mom and
here we are trying to gather her best recipes at one place.

about the Blog
We
named our blog as Pinch of Spice_07 inspired with the Spice Rack (Masala Dani)
found in every Indian kitchen. When we were young, we never knew the importance
of these spices and herbs. For us it was just a fascination to watch our mom
adding these colored powders in the curries. White, yellow, red, brown,
black…..all colors!
Every
food be Indian or Western, spices are the most important part of the Good Food.
The reason behind keeping it as 07 is every Masala Dani has the basic 7 Spices
like, Mustard Seeds, Cumin Seeds, Turmeric Powder, Red Chili Powder, Coriander
Powder, Asafetida and Salt. Using spices is an Art. One most know how much to
add the spices to enhance the flavor of the food. In addition to the choice of Spices,
the timing of when flavors are added will affect the food that is being cooked.
A
pinch of Spice and a dash of it not only boosts flavor in foods, it can add a
heap of health benefits to recipes, too.
